Frame-relay map

hello guys
i was trying to config my router as a frame relay switch
i have 3 2501 routers
one of them is a frame relay switch
i configured it, the DLCI
it says
serial1 101 serial0 201 active
serial0 201 serial1 101 inactive
and when im trying to use the command
show frame-relay map(in one of the hosts)
this doesnt display anytg
any hlp pls

wildfire Member Posts: 654Just a couple of things worth checking, is the line protocol up on serial 0? if not confirm you have set the distant router to encap Frame-relay
The Frame relay switch should be configured as the DCE and use the command clock rate 64000
the example they give there uses 4 time routers with two as frame switches, its easier to start with one central router here a good site which has an example

at first i connected the dte to serial0 ports of both the routers(host) ,it was not working, all the config ver correct then also
but when i changed the serial0 to serial1 of the routers (hosts)
it worked
donno how
cud anyone xplain
anyway thx for the help and i wud b pasting the config and pic of my lab very soon
