changing carreers fields

im currently 29 yrs old in the truck driving business...but i want to change careers...whats a good way to get into the IT field?

Depends on what your interested in, Whatever you chose start with the basics, A+, Network+, something to get your feet wet.

One of the mods mentioned a website called Meetup.com You might want to reach out in your locale and see if you can find a group of folks who engage in a particular technology that interest you.

I think that would be a good way to get started and you could skip some of the beginner crap and go straight to the good stuff.

Just a thought.

Read through the forums and see what interests you, then based on that start to dig into the top 3 things and see if they still interest you.
