Mission Cloud+ on ProctorU: Success!

I just passed Cloud+ using ProctorU. The process was terrible (delayed 30+ minutes) but my proctor said it was the first time he had seen a CompTIA exam - so thank me for being a guinea pig

. Otherwise, I'd recommend this process to anyone since you don't have to leave your room. Likewise, it being only $99 dollars instead of $277.

I prepared by watching the free videos on SimpliLearn and I got a 7-day free trial of the McGraw-Hill book - yesterday. I would say you need to really understand virtualization as a whole - connection, storage and security tied in with best practices. I think CompTIA exams are - slowly but surely - increasing in difficulty with questions sometimes associating/incorporating 3 or 4 domains together.

Actually I did - but it not helped me in any way

. I have contacted CompTIA support and their representative just confirmed what I suspected - this pilot program is available only in United States.

Cloud+, Server+ and Project+ are $99 each right now using ProctorU at home. That's pretty much why...

At first, just got Cloud+ but then I realized how great of a deal it was and signed up for the other two. It's like 3 for 1...

That's a good point, most people do A+ as their first. Server+ is kind of like higher level A+ that doesn't expire and with ProctorU dropping the price to $50 now it is a fraction of the cost of A+.

how did you sign up for this? They told me that i cant take test unless partnered with a university so I am wondering how to do this?

You can select "CompTIA" as one of the 'institutions' when you sign up on ProctorU

That's a great mention. I wasn't planning on getting a book, just reviewing the free literature from CompTIA, but that's a no brainer. I think I'm going to start the free trial tomorrow, read it straight through the next 7 days while working with the practice material I already have and then move my test up to next Sunday instead of doing P+ and this test in the same weekend. I could *probably* pass it now without really studying, but at that price I might as well review it. Thanks.
