I'm a bit confused here..If I can gain 90 CPE say in the first year are they saying that the 50 extra CPE will not count towards the total of 120?

How is more education required if the total number of hours stays at 120?

Edit: here's the rollover policy:

CPE rollover credits are now limited to the total CPEs required each year. For example, CISSPs will only be able to roll over up to 40 Group A credits earned in the last 6 months. These will now be eligible to satisfy the annual CPE requirement for the first year of the next cycle.

OP, more education isn't required. You still have to have 120 hours every 3 years.

What this article doesn't say is what happens if you fail to meet your annual requirement for CPEs. Will you now loose your cert(s) before the end of the three year cycle? Now that there is a fixed, annual requirement for both CPEs and AMF, does there even need to be a three-year certification cycle anymore?
