How to approach seeking more work without being forceful?

Last month, I was able to do a project move somewhere in NYC. I have the PM's office number since he provided to us freelancers if we needed more work. What should I say and how should I come across on wanting more work (weekdays and weekends)? Thanks in advance.

I',m not sure what a PM is Project Manager??

Call the PM and leave a VM

Here is a script I would use:

    Hello Officer's name,
This is Mike Jones (your name)
I recently completed for (name company)
I assisted with a project move somewhere( be specific, what city?) in NYC.
I'm interested in picking up more hours on the weekends and weekdays.
Can you please give me a call at 651-777-7777 when you get chance, so that we can discuss possibly increasing my hours?
Thank you and have a great day

    Call one day
    wait
email the next day, and then wait until next week. Only do this until you get a reponse

    example:
    Monday-call
    Tuesday-wait
Wednesday-email Now you wait until next Monday to contact again.
If no response for both , then repeat next week.
    Example
When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened."

When leaving a voicemail please lead with 'Hello, this is (name) and my number is XXX-XXX-XXXX.' You can repeat the number again at the end, but if the person has to replay the message to get your number, don't make them sit through the whole message again to get to it.
