So I put a down-payment on a new car. I feel kind of gitty.
I put on order a 2015 Camaro Z28, Black with a Factory 30% tint. Car will be ready in 3 weeks
It's my present to myself, have done one in 5 years since I got my 2008 Black Pontiac G6 GXP 3.6; Shela is still running perfectly fine, I just want to treat her as a Sunday car. She heavily modified: 5 lb boost Turbo, Brembo's in the front, Coilovers with Koni Yellow Shocks, super stiff suspension, a Eibach anti-roll sway bar kit, and to round it off a 93 octane ECM/TCM tune, she only uses 93 now.

Congrats on the new car!!! I'm personally an import guy. I've got a heavily modified Nissan Nismo 350Z. But I must say, I've been eyeballing those new Camaro Z28's. They just look sooo mean and aggressive, I love it! That 505hp and 481q out of that gorgeous sounding naturally aspirated LS7 motor *envy* is just epic!! You got yourself one sweet ride! Also, I like that you're keeping your old car for a Sunday car. It's funny how we just can't let them go huh? Especially after all the work we put into them.So I put a down-payment on a new car. Congrats! I'd love to get a new car right now too but don't want to deal with payments. Just slowly saving money to buy it no financing. Looking at an FR-S or 2016 Miata. Last car payment I did took me 4 years to pay off and I hated it. Now that the car is paid off I drive it way less and just save it for track days or mobbing on mountain roads.
Fun Friday observation is that working in a building with comprised of mostly IT staff I find that the dudes never wash their hands after going to the bathroom. Doesn't matter if it's number 1 or 2. When I head out to the main office with the non tech folks I notice the rate of washing hands is way higher. What gives, IT people? -

Grats. I've been wanting to look at a new car but it isn't the best choice. Torn between power/accel and gas economy. That and I just hit a savings milestone so it is not a good time to spend. -

I think you have the first part wrong. If google is really your first troubleshooting step then IT might not be for you...
If you know what your doing, you don't need google.
If you don't know what your doing, you need to know enough to know what to google.

Good thread. Although yeah I'd say Google just needs to be part of your arsenal, not necessarily your first step. I wouldn't ask anyone for help before I googled it (assuming it is something you can search for). -

I personally think removing a memory stick from a production ESXi host to fix an excessive memory issue is a GREAT idea! -

After the way Denver played against the Steelers (my fav team and we shouldn't have made it that far), I don't see how they can beat Carolina. I agree they're getting steamrolled.
Then again, if Peyton wins, it's a conspiracy and Vegas fixed the game. -

Even though I live in the Denver area now, I am a diehard Bears fan.
Two reasons why I would like to see Denver win:
1. One of my buddy's works for the Denver Broncos IT team. I'm nothing if not loyal to my friends.
2. I think it would be nice to see Peyton finish his career with a Super Bowl win.
Unless the Panthers are off their game and out-of-sync, I don't see how they could lose. Then again, the Broncos have had some really interesting wins, at or near the last minute, so there is that. Denver is the sentimental pick because Manning is such a sentimental figure right now. I really hope he wins and retires, would be a cool story. The two best defenses will be on the field Sunday so I'm expecting a low scoring game. Should be a good one! -
