They changed the exam since I took Security+, so I don't have a book to recommend. For video training I used Professor Messer. He has updated his videos to the most current exam.

    Professor Messer's CompTIA SY0-401 Security+ Training Course | Professor Messer - CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux, Microsoft Technology Training
    2019 Goals: 70-698, CCENT, MCSA 2016
Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, CIW Foundations and MTA OS Fundamentals
Cisco Lab :3x Cisco 2811 Routers, 3x Cisco 3750 Switches and Cisco 2620 Router with NM-32A module
Windows Lab: Dual CPU Hyper-V server with 12 Cores/24 Threads, 96GB RAM and 2TB HDD.

And Glen E Clark's book is great too with the total tester CD (200 questions).
I strongly advise you try to simulate some Wifi, AAA, ACL, port security, firewalls, HIDS, and especially root CA cryptography examples as much as you can to get a better idea of what actually goes on in real life.

There is no comparison - in my book - and it's this book!

If you are beginner like me...I recommend starting with Gibson's-Get Ahead Get Certified and Website and adding Prowse's-401 Security+ Guide/DLC
(my main focus of study). Also make sure you just don't memorize but understand the underlying concepts related to the exam objectivies. Any other details can be found online s/a Prof Messer vids or around the Net. Also if you have little Networking knowledge I also recommend to have a Networking for Dummies Guide accessible as a reference Guide.

I used the Gibson book and watched the CBTNuggets videos (pretty much a rehash of the same stuff in the book).
Took the test just using that material and it seemed too easy.
