Mobile vs Servers - Which uses Complex Passwords?

I am getting conflicting information while trying to prepare for my exam.

One source states that MOBILE devices should only use SIMPLE passwords. But when I see comparison between mobile devices and servers - it states that MOBILE device should use COMPLEX passwords.

Any advice are thoughts would be appreciated.

Not sure what resources your pulling from, that being said nothing should EVER use SIMPLE passwords... no matter what the device or how insignificant you consider that data stored on said device.
