Does CCNA SP renew my CCNA?

Hello everybody.
I have valid CCNA and I'd like to renew it next year. The question is "Does CCNA SP renew CCNA?"

Unfortunately, CCNA SP does not renew CCNA.
Here's what Cisco says:

Pass any current CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, or security, or voice, or SP Ops),

Besides, there's a guy I know who passed CCNA SP, and its CCNA did not get renewed.
