Training material for Comptia 801-802

Heja.

I recently finished my CCNA and had a chat with a HR to help me with job research. I got advised to take A+ and N+.

The study material and the exam in Europe seems very expensive, but if is needed what else I can do

I have already downloaded Prof. Messer from Youtube and I will start to study it from tomorrow.

From here is possible to purchase for 40$ a module of Transcender as last resource to review before the exam.

I would like to ask if I have to purchase this simulator from Pearson in order to make sure I can pass the 802 module that seems to be harder than the 801.

If you can suggest any other book to pass the exam. It would be much appreciated.

Well if you just did the CCNA then the Network+ is likely fairly easy for you, and should be easy. Many of us take the Net+ and then work towards the CCENT/CCNA. Transcender exams work, so do MeasureUp and Boson, But I'd suggest getting a book with practise quizes/test software in it. I'd recommend the Exam Crams for the A+ and Net+ that way you get study materials and a practice assessment.You could also sell the book after the fact to recoup some costs, and the books contain promotional codes to receive 10% the exam voucher.

I agree 100%. I am currently using three different books to study for the A+ exams, one of them being the Exam Cram 6th Edition, and its the one I use the most. Love how everything is explained very well and of course I love the questions at the end of each section which tests my knowledge of what Ive read. Also, the companion CD that comes with it is awesome to. It includes the practice tests. For the 801 which I'll be taking within two weeks, I've been getting scores of 800. Still having some issues with the Networking objectives. Primarily subnets and the different protocols and ports.

I too am using the ExamCram 6th Edition by David L. Prowse. I just took and passed the 801 exam with a score of 737 out of 900. I know, it was not a perfect score, but I still passed. Anyway, keep going the path that you are going. Read the chapters, take the quizzes at the end of each chapter and from the CD, do more of the practice tests. It really helps with memorization. As for as the Networking objectives, keep reviewing them. The more you do, the more it will sink in into memory. Furthermore, study the charts, just me, on the 801, there will be questions regarding the charts that are on the ExamCram book. Also, prepare yourself for the performance based questions. You could get between 3 or 5. When I took the 801 exam, the first 5 questions where performance based questions. When you are confronted with one, just take your time (not too long) and read the instructions at least twice to make sure you understand what the PBQ (Performance Based Question) is asking for you to do. Finally, if you are not sure about a question, flag it and come back to it later when you are near completion of the exam. You do not want to spend too much time on any one question. Does anybody have any experience with this company? I found few good reviews and it caught up my attention.

The yearly-round license to access their database would not be that bad compared to other companies.

I tried to inquiry to receive a trial. I would like to know if you had any experience to share.

The company I mentioned is a company that offers revision tests: simulations, practice tests and flash cards.

Since Transcender, Boson and Measureup are pretty expensive I was looking for a good alternative.

I used the Mike Meyers all in one guide. It had all I needed for the most part. It also has a CD in the back with additional material.
