CAS-001 v.s. CAS-002

I'm planning to take one of these before Sept. I was reading that the CAS-002 is pretty similar to the CAS-001, only difference is they subtracted one module and beefed up the weights on the other modules.
In addition I understand both are available for testing. What are the difference between the two? I prefer the older since there are simply more study materials available.

It replaces the current version (CAS-001) which retires on June 20, 2015.

I took the CASP CAS-001 exam today, so much for the transcenders test prep
NOTHING but a very few were even close, Anyone know of any GOOD test prep questions
for this exam?

I think part of the problem is that some people who are don't have the experience to grasp what the exam is relating to. The best advice is that there is a CAS-001 nugget video I think floating around. I'm not sure a test prep outside of what is in the book is available though.
