After 7 years, and many adventures, today is my last day with my current company
I can honestly say it's been a blast - lots of learning done over the years, lots of travelling (initially that was a perk but over the years have found that I miss kids and wife more and more with each trip); however I am not getting any younger so ,when a management level job came up, I took the plunge.
It's a really BIG move for me as I will be relocating to another country (within Africa but East Africa as opposed to Southern Africa - quite different vibes between the two regions. Kinda like moving from Canada to Mexico I guess - both within the same continent but really different). I shall be managing a small IT team at a third party processor (basically we connect multiple banks to VISA, Mastercard etc).........really very excited and quite terrified too !
