-
Lexluethar Member Posts: 516Paper for me, i'm still reading Mastering 5.5 but something this thick generally requires multiple reading locations (not just in front of a PC).
-
kj0 Member Posts: 767With 5.5 I tend to read at the Dining room table and then go back and do the labs at once at the computer referencing the other sections. Much prefer paper, but I have quite a few electronic books for the train as well.

Haha .. mainly because the printed version is released in the USA before the UK and I don't want to wait a month until it finally hits the UK amazon store (and delivery from the US takes ages too) so I tend to buy the eBook as soon as available and then the printed version once it is locally available. My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

jibbajabba Member Posts: 4,317 ■■■■■■■■□□Just a shame that I either have to pay twice the price to get quick shipping from the US to the UK or wait 21 days for delivery ..... Another $75 down on a book .... Grmpf ....My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com
-
kj0 Member Posts: 767I got standard 7 - 11 day shipping (or whatever it was) Wasn't paying an extra $15 to get it 3 days earlier. Which works out ok, considering I should really read the blue print links first.

kj0 Member Posts: 767Mine should be here on Thursday, but I am not sure if that means Thursday US time or not.
However I got a refund as the price changed before it was released. -
jibbajabba Member Posts: 4,317 ■■■■■■■■□□I hope though the book has been changed to reflect GA rather than vSphere 6 Beta, given how much has changed
Edit: mine's just arrived. My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

jibbajabba Member Posts: 4,317 ■■■■■■■■□□Just noticed, you can get it on Google Play.
Edit': bought the Google version as well. Never bought a Google book. So much better than Kindle lol. I love the option to see the original pages, so you see the raw book format. Main advantage: you see the page numbers. Easier you switch between hardcopy and eBook. My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

kj0 Member Posts: 767Seriously though, I reviewed chapter 2 and 3, and I think given the massive architecture changes with PSC, vCenter, it goes well in depth to these topics. ESXi doesn't really change too much in its install process, but it comes with the book, so can't complain.
