HP News - HP to Acquire Aruba Networks to Create an Industry Leader in Enterprise Mobility

I really dont like that idea, but oh well.
I feel that Arubanetworks is dynamic, really innovating company, but HP is not...
They bough colubris and did nothing with it...

This is good news for hp partners as they are getting good wifi. But for us Aruba partners this could be really bad.
As custumers or end users the view coudl be differnt though im just giving my point of view as aruba partner

Any thoughs about it?

We're not partners, but we are customers and I'm really hoping for the best here. Maybe, just maybe, this will provide the income to fulfill the dream of an "Aruba Press"...I'm cautiously optimistic.

I think as long as they leave it the way it is and just keep going with it they will do just fine.

Looks like Dell won't be selling Aruba now :P

I used to work for an MSP and I have worked with Aruba before. I really liked their products and I am sad to see them sell to HP mostly because of HPs track record with acquisitions. Hope this one ends up for the better.

This feels a bit like Cisco's acquisition of Sourcefire. Normally Cisco's gobbling up of vendors results in less-than-desirable outcomes, but I have higher hopes with Sourcefire.

I really like the Aruba engine for wireless... I hope this does not change it much.
I dont have much experience with HP besides a few routers.
