LinkedIn Summary section

I've had linkedIn for quiet some time now but never really used the summary section to talk about myself. Do you guys use it? Also, if you do, do you write the summary in the third person or first person? I've seen examples of both but was wondering why would anyone talk about themselves in the third person?
