LinkedIn Summary section

I've had linkedIn for quiet some time now but never really used the summary section to talk about myself. Do you guys use it? Also, if you do, do you write the summary in the third person or first person? I've seen examples of both but was wondering why would anyone talk about themselves in the third person?

Mine currently reads like this:
16+ years in network/systems operations and engineering.
Specialties: Messaging systems, network/system administration, network/information security, systems engineering, and IT management. -

I always get a chuckle out of reading summaries done in third person that begin with "Name" is...2015 Certification Goals: CCNA: Routing & Switching FONT=courier new][SIZE=2][COLOR=#ff0000]X[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT, CCNA: Security FONT=courier new][SIZE=2][FONT=courier new][SIZE=2][COLOR=#ff0000]X[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT][/SIZE][/FONT, Security+ COLOR=#ff0000]X[/COLOR
