No CMOS Jumper, still works?

Hi,

I noticed my computer turned on and operated normally with no jumper on pin 1,2 or 2,3.
Will this cause any damage, or does it reset the CMOS everytime?
Any information will be helpful, im a novice :)

Thank you,

Patrick

should work fine, without doing a reset.

Don't take my word, and test it with your hands.
This definitely will tell you better

I have had systems that did not have the jumper on them, as long as the battery was good, it would maintain the system settings, if you need to reset your machine, just pull the CMOS battery for a few seconds when you turn the system off.
