I'd say that there is opportunity. I work with guys who perform some level of forensics works, and mix it with incident response. Of course many LE agencies need forensics professionals. Congrats, don't know how you got that opportunity.OSWP, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, CPT, CCENT, CompTIA Trio. -

If the pay is good jump to it. It will lead to other opportunities in the Security field like Information Assurance or SOC Administrator in the future. Get your CISSP and other certs.
