I recently received my CCNA & am studying for my CCNA security so hopefully that will help the situation with having more certs. The issue that I'm having is I cannot find ANY company that will hire me due to my lack of experience or work history. I have not worked in several years due to some serious health related issues. I received a few calls for NOC 1 positions but the issue is I cannot take those positions currently because my health issue have to do with my hearing so I cannot be on the phone all day long. My previous job experience is only at call centers; so I'm looking for any internships or contract work yet still have found nothing. I also have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and information systems if that helps give a better picture of my work history and educational background. Any ideas or advice on where I should look for focus my attention in terms of getting a job.

Though to get a job through a recruiter these days. Try direct with the person that does the actual hiring. Also you mention you work at a call center, but you have trouble hearing, what do you do?

I currently am not working , but I used to work at a call center. The problem now is because i have no experience in Network engineering or network security the only jobs I am being offered are phone jobs which I cannot take due to the damage to my hearing. I could still troubleshoot or do the work its just the phone aspect that is the problem.

Pretty tough situation. Lower level work in this field almost always consists of some sort of phone support. Not much I have to offer on this besides keep trying to sell yourself on those non support roles. Good luck!

perhaps look for volunteering positions? local churches, or non profits may need some IT assistance, be it network or PC related, but it'd get some experience on your resume and perhaps help you get past the Helpdesk/support center type of roles.
