finally A+ certified ^_^

Finally I'm A+ certified and can't wait to receive my cert

I passed with 819, it was really a challenging exam that I underestimated it bit time since I had 9 simulation questions and one performance based like arranging steps to be taken to solve an issue.
The simulations alone took 30 min, I was beating my self trying to remember a cmd command

other than that, questions were fair enough.

How much time it will take to ship the cert?

Congrats on becoming CompTIA A+ Certified. Doesn't it feel great? Anyway, the certificate should arrive via regular mail 2 to 3 business days. I got mine in the mail today and I became certified on the 20th of March. The certification kit comes with the certificate, a plastic ID card, and a letter of congratulations on passing both exams. Congrats once again and good luck in your future endeavors.

Take it easy, the exam is not that hard.
Many of the questions are not technical but more like common sense.
Like where you will place you main router in an office, on the reception front desk or inside a closed room? something like that.

regarding simulations, open the control panel and start playing there and changing things, and click on every single click-able thing there (better to do that on a virtual machine)
also explore other windows tools msconfig

and regarding cmd commands, sorry but you have to memorize them and their options, although help command is available.
practice those commands.

for other concepts that you will encounter in single/multiple choice questions google and wikipedia will do the trick

some of them made me nervous, like in win 7 task simulation where I know how to do it as i do all the time, but they blocked that and had to do it the other way which I'm not very familiar with, hence consuming much time.

well, to be honest with you not much, the real study time was not more than two days

while for 220-801 I studied more than a month.

I think this really depends on your knowledge an experience. Although I should've studied more, like a week or so but as i mentioned i did underestimate the exam.

Hell yeah it feel great!
I knew about the ID card, it's a big plus for me especially that others like cisco stopped giving those cards. But I didn't know it's plastic, I head it's more like a cardboard piece, nice to hear that from you

anyway, yeah I'll print out a copy in the mean while, international shipping with regular mail is a horror story.

Congrats! Normally, CompTIA sends within two weeks AFTER YOU VERIFY your address... but keep checking on the account. Once good to go, they ship. It shows up on their website pretty fast. If you don't have a COMPTIA account, or just created... it will add about 5 days to process. So ready to hit ICND2?

yes I did that yesterday, they should ship it soon.

I have to say this, networking thing and especially cisco have something different, studying and practicing for ICND2 is more of entertainment than studying, I'm ready? I hope so
