Is there a good software to create a iSCSi shared storage? I currently use Windows 8.1 with a m5015 as a home file server. Is there a good piece of software to create a iSCSI shared storage form my esxi home lab?

I've got a video on how to use OpenFiler. I then moved to starWind when I was running it from a vmdk on my vCenter VM.

I use the Microsoft iSCSI Target and UNIX File Services for Test Track but I'm going to start using the Starwinds service.

Starwind is a piece of cake to setup. NEVER had a problem with it.

Baremetal : I use Nas4Free . As Windows app installed : Native target from Microsoft.

Slightly OT: Anyone played with the Unified Storage Server back in the day (Storage Server 2003 with iSCSI target). I was working for an OEM back then and the install files for the Unified Storage parts were painful. You had to run scripts, msi, and registry scripts in order, otherwise you had to reinstall Windows. Ah good times.
