Cisco 7925G deployment
Anyone here ever mass deploy Cisco wireless phones?
So I am trying to come up with a way to mass deploy some 7925G wireless phones. We already have some in select locations, but we have to manually configure the network profile and then send them to sites. I’m trying to avoid having to manually configure anything on the phone.
The bulk deployment utility guide from Cisco says I can use the utility to create a configuration file and then setup a staging environment with the open SSID of “cisco” (no PSK), a TFTP server, and DHCP server with option 150 set pointing to the TFTP server.
I have this all setup, phone boots and pulls and IP fine, but it does not download the TFTP file. Am I missing something? The profile has the DHCP IP and staging environment TFTP IP, but the phone doesn’t appear to ever try downloading this.
Am I missing something? Is there a better way of trying to accomplish this? I’m trying to do this with a Raspberry Pi as my TFTP/DHCP server, but I did try with another setup with the same result.
