Linux+ vs 0-101 vs 1-101 etc.
What's going on with the Linux+ certs and LPIC-1-101, LPIC-1-102? I went to the comptia website and signed up to book an exam and it only had, 0-101, 0-102, 0-103, 0-104,
Is this the "new" system or something? each of those exams is $175 each, I thought I could do them all at once, isn't that what Linux+ is? I'd rather not have to split the test into four parts.

DoubleNNs Member Posts: 2,015 ■■■■■□□□□□The test got updated this year with new objectives. The 101/102 are the 2011 objectives and I believe are expiring late summer. The 103/104 are the 2015 objectives; they're updated for new technologies and Linux standards.
You either take the 101 & 102 or the 103 & 104. You don't take all 4. You cannot mix & match.
Taking the 101 and 102 would most likely be easiest long as you think you can finish both exams within 6 months. There's much more materials for those 2 exams out there. Taking the 103 & 104 would have you learning more current subjects.Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
To-do | In Progress | Completed
