Waiting for CISSP Endorsement to go through

fullcrowmoonfullcrowmoon Member Posts: 172
This is for everyone who's passed the CISSP and is still waiting for the Endorsement portion to be processed. 5 weeks is a long time, and I am dyin' ovah heah.

I passed the exam on 03/14/15, and (ISC)2 confirmed that they had my paperwork for endorsement on 03/16/15.

Nice. I passed on 4/11 and I'm still trying to line up an endorser. Maybe I should have this sooner but I didn't want to jinx myself. Yeah I'm a bit superstitious.

I'm a bit superstitious myself. :) I lucked out on the endorser because I've been at the same company for 15 years and so there was someone with their certification who knew me and all of my managers over the years, so getting the paperwork done was fairly easy. Now watch me get audited!

Not sure if anyone still monitors this thread, but what was your ending wait time...I'm dying here waiting for everything to go through.

I took my exam post-April 15 and had to wait the 6 weeks for the results of my exam. And now I am waiting for the endorsement process to complete. Here's my current timeline:

    04/29/2015: Took CISSP Exam
    06/08/2015: Notified of passing exam
06/09/2015: Submitted Endorsement Form (confirmed receipt on 06/10/2015)

The endorsement can take up to 8 weeks, depending on your geographical location. Most however receive it within the 5 weeks mark. So start counting for your 5 weeks.

I know the feeling... waiting is more difficult than the test itself.

    I wouldn't go that far...

I received my approval last Wednesday for the SSCP. It took 7 weeks.

I've come to the conclusion that CISSP candidates are the most impatient people in the world, aside from my 4 year old son.

Consider it part of the whole initiation. We've all done it and for many before you, waiting 6-8 weeks just to learn if you past the exam in the first place. This is less than half the time as the old methodology.

You want even more pain? I went through the above process four (4) times - 6 to 8 weeks a piece. Endorsements the whole nine yards and more yards and the neighbors yard, etc.

    And congrats!

I'm the exact opposite. I passed the test, that's really all I cared about. The endorsement process will complete when it completes and I'm fine with that. It's not like once I get the letters behind my name I instantly get a 200K salary dropped in my lap. Nothing really changes for me, just something I wanted to get out of the way that I plan to use down the road. No biggie.

I just got mine today. It's been a great day being my birthday and all!

    Passed test: 07MAR2015
    Submitted enforcement paperwork: 02JUN2015
    (ISC)2 acknowledgment: 03JUN2015
    Official designation email: 11JUL2015

So 38 days from their acknowledgement to the official word. I waited a while to do the endorsement paperwork out of sheer laziness. I'll be sure to fix that next time for the concentrations.
