Hi All,
I am a recent graduate in BSC in Computer Science and Information Systems. I am interested in the database field, was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction inregards to certifications for database. Any experiences would surely help me a lot.

Are you looking into Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server? If it is Oracle you need to pass an SQL exam Oracle Database 12c: SQL Fundamentals and the Oracle Database 11g: Administration I exam. If it is Microsoft SQL you will need 3 tests: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012,
Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases, and Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012. -

@Magmadragon thanks for that, i am still undecided on oracle or Microsoft right now.
How is the outlook for Database Admins, im currently working as a service desk analyst and need to gain experience before applying for database admin jobs
