We've recieved C881W-E-K9 v01 without any antennas. There is no interface where I could attache antenna. We were planning to use it as a Wi-Fi access point. Does it have internal antennas?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The picture on this site - Cisco C881W-E-K9 (Cisco 881W - wireless router - 802.11b/g/n (draft 2.0) - desktop) - looks like my 881W, except it has the 3G module slot in the front like the 881G.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

Please have a look. -
theodoxa Member Posts: 1,340 ■■■■□□□□□□That is very odd. It looks like a plain 881 (not W), but it clearly says 881W on the case. When I get home, I'll snap a pic of mine.
[EDIT] Just looked it up and mine was 881W-GN-A-K9. Per Cisco, the GN-E Model (I couldn't find just an E model on Cisco.com) is "ETSI Compliant" vs. "FCC Compliant". I would guess ETSI must be the European (E for Europe) FCC. Maybe they build them differently over there.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

You may be onto something. I seem to remember seeing that the "replacement" for the CISCO881 (Looking at mine CISCO881-W-GN-A-K9 V01) was the C881, which seemed odd given that it was the exact same number (881). It would appear the C881 is a newer CISCO881. Other than making the antennae internal, I'm not sure what differences there are between the two.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]
