Certification track suggestion
kurzon
Hello everyone,
I was a CCNP certified network engineer until 3 years ago when my certification expired. I've been working at an ISP where I do mostly security and data center operations including firewalls, load balancers, virtualization, nexus series switches, mpls and bgp.
Currently I don't have any valid certificate. I plan to pursue CISSP in the long term (1 year period), that's for sure. But I'm not sure what I should get on networking side; should I follow CCNP track, or CCNP Data Center track, or maybe instead of them I can focus on security solely and get Check Point certs?
What do you suggest?
Thanks.

I'd pick up where you left off with the CCNP and see how you feel about moving forward. Let my CISSP expire for a bit, went back picked it back up no problem.
