what are my optionw to run vmotion on home lab?
I have 1 physical server,local storage, running two nexted ESXI and vSphere5.5, Vcenter
Should I use FreeNAS?
SCSI setup virtual disks can be shared between virtual machines?

tomtom1 Member Posts: 375If you do nested ESXi with something like freeNAS or Openfiler that runs an iSCSI target or a NFS export, you can use that as shared storage for the nested ESXi's and test vMotion there.

joelsfood Member Posts: 1,027 ■■■■■■□□□□I use Starwind Virtual SAN to present some of the empty space on my workstation as iSCSI storage to my ESXi boxes (physical and nested virtual).
