I am looking to get into IT project management possibly. I have no experience in the field but do have a BS in Business along with 10+ years experience in IT via the Army. Is this certification worth getting?

So you want to someone to pay you to manage projects, but you have no experience managing projects....I'm also pretty sure that there are experience reqs for PMP as well.

The certification definitely holds weight, but the requirements are pretty steep. With your B.S. degree, the website says you still need the following:
    • A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.

Just get a PM position and start managing folks. That's how you get the experience and build actual skills. You have a degree in business I am sure you took management courses. (Management is management is management).
