Juniper
domain-type bridge
up2thetime
Hey everyone,
Just wondering what this command is used for:
domain-type bridge
Notice it in the MX-960 book, but it isn't explained.
Are there other types that can be used?
Thanks.

It is used to define the type of domain for a Layer 2 bridge domain or VLAN.

Thanks for the response.
What other bridge types are there? Such as bridge-type x.
Is this command necessary when configuring the bridge domain?
Thanks!

The only argument is bridge, and it is also not necessary in creating a bridge domain on the MX series. I've never really found the use for this knob.
