I saw that before you edited your original post I believe the reasoning behind wanting to renew your Security+ was because of DOD 8570... If that's the case then you may want to consider doing the CASP instead which will renew the same certs (A+/N+/S+), will earn you 13 CEUs for Cloud+, and you can also check off more of the 8570 boxes with CASP vs Storage+.
