Dude! Jump the 'R' train and do so now. Spent the weekend teaching myself useful junk and its already been amazing as to what I have found. If you can read someone else's classnotes stuffed into a book try "Teach yourself 'R' - Fast!" Weird writing style but lives up to its name.

By the way... thanks for the post. This is really, really huge for all of us in IT. Just that too many people want to stick with what they are already struggling to understand today's technologies let alone embrace the future. This quote from the Revolution site sums it all up for me:
"Long live R! The business layer is dead!"

Agreed! Beads - what material are you using to review R? Just curious all the material I have found is on Cousera.
