I am currently a part time student
working towards a bachelors in Technology Management/Networking
and certification in N+. I have about 1-2 more years to finish.

I notice most jobs expect you to have some type of
experience in troubleshooting,experience in system
back-ups, etc. That's the problem I have no experience
directly related to my major. My plan is to have
my N+ certifications by the end of this summer.
But will that be enough to get my foot in the door?

I was thinking an internship would help alot.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Look for an internship or a retail pc tech job like best buy's geek squad or compusa or circuit city. If you finish your major with no experience related to it, you will have a hard time getting a decent job for a good 2-3 years.

    Don't wait, start looking now.

I started out as an intern for the State of TN and now I'm a full time employee. This is the best job I've ever had!! I have to give thanks to God and the internship program at my college.

If I were you, I try to get an internship as soon as I could.

    Best of luck to you!

I agree with Shadown. If you could get a State internship that would be even better. Typically, State jobs pay good, have good benefits, and promote from within (this includes switching between different State agencies). How many other places get Columbus day off!
