Problem with 1801 Router/Switch

Got this ADSL router for free, it has a L3 fe port and an integrated switch with 8 fe L2 ports.
My problem is that i don't understand how the integrated switch is supposed work:
- if i connect my pc directly to the L3 port all works well
- if i connect my pc to one of the switch port i' m unable to reach Internet or the ip address of the L3 port.
The ports are all up.
Is some specific configuration needed?

The built in switch operates much like an L3 switch. You need to create an SVI for the switch ports to use as an L3 termination point. It's not bridged to the hardware L3 port.
