What Was/Is Your Toughest Course in WGU

I am currently trudging through the Probability and Statistics course and it is going slooow. I just don't feel motivated to pick up and read about it and when I do my eyes cross from all the statistical anecdotes. I was able to sneak in 2 extra courses last semester but am about a week behind schedule on this course, just wondering what courses some of you struggled with and what I can expect, obviously everyone is different, just looking for opinions.

That would have likely been mine had my degree plan not changed to drop that course. I'm not a fan of JavaScript at all.

As someone that should hopefully be graduating by the end of this month, I'd probably say the Linux+ classes. While I kind of drug my feet with those courses, they definitely took me the longest out of anything. Pretty challenging learning a brand new OS/language and all the hierarchy.

Project+ was the next one. Not hard material at all but SOOOOOO dry. I failed it the first time because I could barely read the material.

I'm not sure maybe Designing Customized Security which I am currently taking if I had to pick one which I hope to pass soon. The most boring and tedious course was easily the Project+ exam course. I haven't really had any hard classes but at the same time I also waived tons of them from certs and transfer credits. :)

On another note, 4 classes away from graduation for my BS-IT Security: Designing Customized Security, Scripting and Programming, Technical Writing, Capstone Written Project!! I'm stoked....

I found the C# class very hard. Most WGU classes I could just wing it. That one I actually had to study and learn

Project + was definitely the most boring class i've ever taken. Took a lot of discipline to pass that exam.

I agree that Project+ was the most boring class.

Did you know there are videos for that course? I didn't. I watched them. It made my life better.

Any of the GE courses. It took me a while to get English 1 & 2 out of the way, and humanities IWT1 task 1 & 2 took a while.

Not looking forward to the maths and science classes which i've unfortunately left for last.

The one that slowed me down the most was Elements of Effective communication; there were too many things to memorize and it was not a topic I am interested in. Also the projects were bothersome and uninteresting too, but they went quicker then the studying and exams.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I turned 30 last year, so I'm so ready to graduate. I have my CCNA: Sec exam next week, then Tech Writing, Capstone, and CIW: Database left. I should be done by January.

I'm in the MSISA program. Luckily I haven't had a course that caused me too many challenges and I'm on my last course before my capstone. If I had a course that somewhat challenged me, then I'd have to say the Cryptography one. I missed the passing score by 4 points on my first attempt, so I had to take it a second time to pass it I didn't get my BS from WGU, I got it from DeVry (I know horrible choice), so I didn't have to take any the GE courses. I'm sure some of those would have been slightly challenging. I am thinking of getting a BS from WGU, just so I can remove the DeVry name from my resume.

C169: Scripting and Programming - Applications was my toughest course so far. The java project was very difficult but I didn't have much interest and know programming isn't for me. There's help out there with the project. The test wasn't so bad , just missed the cut first time and almost aced it the second time.

C179: Business of IT - Applications is a close runner up. It's not that the study or material is difficult and it's pretty interesting but the tests are very poor right now. A majority of the questions seem to have multiple correct answers or no correct answers while some of the questions deal with things not in the study.

On the flip side, C376: Web Development Fundamentals was probably the easiest course for me, C484 Organizational Behavior, which I'm about to take the final test, also seems pretty easy because of the low cut score.

Security+ course was the most enjoyable to study so far and Network+ would be a distant runner-up. Really looking forward to linux+ and cisco courses. I planned to take them last because after achieving them my motivation would go down to finish the core classes.
