in SSCP
successfully passed the CISSP exam today morning. am mentally drained but happy
exam was pretty straightforward..nothing i had not seen before.
studied primarily Shon Harris AIO, and tried to read the ISC CBK 4th edition (which is awful...)
took the cccure 2015 practice tests and the usual test questions available online
am off to celebrate...will be happy to answer any questions you have.

orionquest Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□as far as the study plan goes..i read the Shon Harris book end to end 3-4 times and did some extra reading to understand the certain concepts.
e.g. template of a real organization's security policy
about 1 week before the exam i took a few cccure tests to understand where i stood. revised the domains where i scored less -

If you take the exam now you get the results at the exam centre. The people who sat the new exam near when it was introduced are still waiting on their results. -

Good luck on the endorsement process.
You are a brave man for reading the AIO 3-4 times. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high. ~Ayrton Senna

I'm a CISSP aspirant yet to start my studies...Can you please mention the Shon Harris book edition number? Did you also attend the 4-5 days boot camp before the exams? -
orionquest Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□only did self-study..did not attend any boot camp
primarily used the Shon Harris AIO 6th edition. also leafed thru the ISC CBK 4th Edition. -

I read the AIO once and it took two weeks to recover. GJ -
renacido Member Posts: 387 ■■■■□□□□□□CISSP is not "bootcamp friendly"...too much to cover for any kind of immersion, no labs involved, no hands-on skills to go over, just memorize the material and apply judgement from your *ahem* 4+ years of full-time infosec experience. You're better off spending 5 days with 3rd-party study material.

In March we were on live results. When and where did you take the CISSP exam?
