MCSA or MCSE

I have a quick question. My employer is encouraging me to get the MCSE and he will pay for it. Should I first go for the MCSA or just hop right into the MCSE? I have the A+ and N+ certs already plus 1 1/2 years of experience. Thanks.

You will get the MCSA regardless. The MCSA consists of 3 exams. The MCSE consists of those same 3 exams for the MCSA, plus 2 other exams. Basically, you'll need to complete the exams for the MCSA before you can go for the MCSE. Please see below for reference.
