I recently took the BCS CISMP exam Information Security Management Principles | Information security (inc. CESG) | Certifications | BCS Certifications it tests a candidates knowledge on the fundamentals of information security. I used the following book as the only study material Information Security Management Principles | BCS - Bookshop its the official book and covers everything you need to pass the exam.
What I liked about this exam over other entry level ones like Security+ and ISO27002 is that it covers a wide range of security concepts such as policies, business continuity, risk management and security controls.
I would recommend this exam for anyone looking for an entry level security exam but it does not cover any technical security so if that is what you are after this is not the exam for you.
