I haven't read it myself but I continue to hear good things about the Syngress book. The Microsoft Security+ has received some good comments as well. I did read the Sybex book and it's not of the typical Sybex quality expected it to be. And of course, make sure you read my TechNotes, they contain as much text as the books though, but more to the point.

I'm surprised to hear that about the sibex book actually.

Was it the second edition? If not then maybe I still have hope with this book... I do plan on buying the Syngress book after finishing the sybex book anyway.
