Was wondering if anyone can recommend any NAS for SOHO that they are using and are happy with? Or can you recommend any functions/features when looking for a SOHO?
The only thing requirement that I have is looking for some sort of RAID 5/6 setup.
These are the two right now that I'm kicking the tires the most on:
Amazon.com: BUFFALO DriveStation Quad 8 TB High Performance RAID Array with Optimized Hard Drives (HD-QH8TU3R5): Computers & Accessories

thanks

Little more expensive but great devices. -
tpatt100 Member Posts: 2,991 ■■■■■■■■■□I had a Synology, it was pretty good but I ended up just using Windows 8 on a PC in the basement for media/file sharing. Only thing I would advise is investing in good hard drives. I tried to be cheap and I think my drive choices impacted performance of my Synology.

SMB shares, iSCSI/NFS datastores, Plex and a few small services are what I use on mine.2019: GPEN | GCFE | GXPN | GICSP | CySA+

They seem easy to use and are cost effective. -

Their documentation doesn't go into great detail. For example, it comes out of the box at RAID 5, however I want to set it to RAID 10. Except it gives the option to set spaning, however it doesn't offer and pros/cons on how much to set.***Freedom of Speech, Just Watch What You Say*** Example, Beware of CompTIA Certs (Deleted From Google Cached)
