Looks good. What's your Associate's in, though? And it's minor, but "CompTIA" rather than "COMPTIA".

Just a general-ed type degree, knocking out lower-level classes in prep for a bachelors. However, i'm thinking about just knocking out a few more certs and applying to WGU. Good catch on CompTIA. I knew that and can't believe I listed it that way on my resume. Thanks again! Anyone else have anything?

Kind of a follow up question - my current job title, "Technical Control Facility Technician" doesn't really say a whole lot to people outside a VERY small group within the military. It's basically a WAN Engineer in a service provider role. We connect other DOD facilities to the main communications hub in the area, and enable voice and data traffic to the respective sites.

My question is: how would I go about explaining that to HR drones and people who aren't familiar with that specific term? Should I list it as something like "Technical Control Facility Technician (WAN Engineer)" or is that too wordy? Of course, if a prospective employer contacts my company for a reference, they will say my title is the former rather than the latter.

I don't see anything wrong with including (WAN Engineer) after it. I've used what I call "working titles" before when my actual title wasn't really indicative of the duties. Within reason, of course. You don't want to put "Security Engineer" when you're doing password resets on a helpdesk. icon_lol.gif
