goibhniu Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□Note the 28th is the anticipated beta rescore date, not the date you'd receive the email or view the result in PearsonVUE. The result is probably going to come out in the 7-10 days after the 28th, I wouldn't be holding my breath guys.
Yeah, I just went back to their post on the learning blog and saw that this is the disingenuous phrasing that they used. That's a shame, because we weren't asking when the rescore dates were going to be. Frankly, none of us care when the rescore date is. What we care about is what date we can expect our results. If we ask "when will I have my results" and they answer "the rescore date is the 28th" without pointing out that we still won't get our results until a couple of weeks after the rescore date then they haven't really answered the question. It's kind of sad that Paul has resorted to this sort of deception. Most of us are reasonable people. If we ask a question we expect either an honest answer or or "I don't know". -

Maybe we are reading too much into the phrase .. Someone just posted a response on the vmware forums, one he received from education"I would like to inform you that the Beta results were to be announced on 28th September, due to some technical issue the results have not been generated, I request you to wait for another 2 to 3 days for the results."
So you could read into it that they don't start counting on the 28th but intended to have the results ready
Either way, no point, all we can do is sit back and wait.My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -

Well, maybe not generally, but beta exams don't really have a good reputation. The only difference with Beta vs. GA at the moment is the price ... You pay next to nothing for a beta. I think the beta was $50 compared to $245.
If you get the money from your company or you don't care about the cost, don't take beta exams. Back in the day you had the option to leave feedback during the beta exams as well, but this is not the case anymore it seems. So the only difference really is the price (and the fact betas tend to have more questions).
With VCP6-DCV Beta / Delta Beta - people are likely to see the results months after GA. Taking betas to renew a VCP is a bad idea, also.My own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -
JoJoCal19 Mod Posts: 2,835 ModThanks for the insight. The one downside I see to the VMware certs is the two year re-cert timeline. That basically puts me studying for the same cert every 18 months.Have: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, eJPT, GCIA, GSEC, CCSP, CCSK, AWS CSAA, AWS CCP, OCI Foundations Associate, ITIL-F, MS Cyber Security - USF, BSBA - UF, MSISA - WGU

Essendon Member Posts: 4,546 ■■■■■■■■■■Nope, you dont have to and cant re-certify with the same cert. If your VCP 5: DCV is nearing its expiration, you either need to pass a VCP level test in another stream, say Cloud or you pass a VCAP. Passing a higher level test renews all your lower level certs.

We apologize for the delay from the 28th, we work through an exam vendor and we had to go through a couple of QA checks. The results were approved last night and went out via mail today. You should have them shortly."

On a side note, for VCDX5, the rumour is they'll stop accepting applications in Dec 2016. Gotta hurry up. -
kj0 Member Posts: 767Still haven't got a score sheet. Oh well. a fail is a fail - but it just means need to explore the best way to learn, just need to use the resources that are now available.

is a year doable? -
jibbajabba Member Posts: 4,317 ■■■■■■■■□□As with most things, it depends
If you got a design already and you just need to make it VCDX worthy, then your chances are a lot better than starting a fictitious design from scratch. Your chances are also better if you can work on your design daily, rather than weeklyMy own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com
