Need Temp Agency for entry level Help Desk in the NY and NJ areas

Hey Guys, I need some help please. I was in design field, but am switching careers because it's hard to find something in this field right now. I've tried applying to different agencies, but they don't bite because of lack of experience. Is there an agency in the NY, NJ area that will give a guy a chance.

Also I'm in my 40's so will any age discrimination play a role in this.

Age will most likely play a role initially i think but you should be ok once you get some experience. Do you have any IT related experience at all? Do you have any certifications? Your best bet is to get some certifications ASAP, like the A+ or Network+. NJ and NY area are very hot when it comes to the IT field. Try your design field connections, they might have some leads for you. LinkedIN is also a good place to start, connect with recruiters and let them know you are looking for entry level IT. Your certs or some type of degree from WGU is your best bet though since you have no experience.
