Just passed N10-006
Obviously cant answer specifics about the exam but I'm happy to help answer general questions.
I passed with an 825, which is a 91% FYI.
Professor Messer's free videos helped me big time in addition to the WGU curriculum.

Proverbs 6:6-11Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man.
I studied for a solid month. I started out using uCertify's curriculum. When I was getting 90% on those practice tests, I stopped using uCertify (through WGU). After that, I referenced the exam objectives and watched more Professer Messer videos.
Most difficult part [of studying] ? For me it was; memorizing.
[do not discuss exam specifics]
I spent a lot of time reading through Wikipedia articles about different protocols, getting pretty detailed. Although it was interesting and I learned a lot, it was unnecessary prep for the Network+ i think.... Cant comment on the 005, i have no clue.
I don't know what a PBQ is, sounds tasty though, and yea thewiz8807 that's lirikThump lol.

Yea, you are correct on all points. It is hard to compare the tests, but the N+ wasn't as thorough in what they tested. The A+ came naturally to me, I barely had to study, because of work experience.
It's hard not to over-study for this exam, because you cant be sure what detail they might ask.

Just passed 801 and 802 myself - starting to study N10-006 now.
Thanks for the helpful info you have posted./
Any idea of what is different from CompTIA (N10-005) Network+ ?
I am just starting to study & hope to test in 2-3 weeks, but have very few 006 study materials so far.
Also, is professor Messer's video series 006? I will try to find out...

A pass is a pass. You are exactly right. You passed by 12 points. That's roughly a 79%. That is still a pass. Congrats on the pass.

I just started to study for the N10-006 and I'm using Professor Messer's videos. Now I find them very helpful and clear, but I feel I need some more detailled information just to have some things cleared up. Could you tell me what sources you used? Did you use a book as well?!
Also I have no idea what these terms are, perhaps you could explain them to me:
"I started out using uCertify's curriculum. When I was getting 90% on those practice tests, I stopped using uCertify (through WGU)."
I dont have the A+ cert, do you think someone is able to pass for the N+ without having A+?
A pass is a pass! I also squeaked by back in February! Studying for my CCNA now, so I can go over the stuff I missed on N+.

I am taking certs in advance, next is the Network+ and probably the last one for WGU prep before moving on to higher certs for work purposes.
Besides Messer videos, is there something you can share about WGU material that helped? Thanks
I hear a lot of people saying sims take a long time, I'm just trying to figure out what the tasks could be and why they'd take so long. Anything like configuring DHCP, setting static ips, configuring routers etc are quick tasks....
