Passed CISSP today! Can't Believe it!!!
Hey Guys,
Just got back from the test centre and I have passed my CISSP.
Thank you to everyone on this forum who has helped me
A bit about me and how I passed the exam!!
Background
2 Years Experience in IT Security as an Analyst
Honours Degree in Computer Science
I've been studying IT since the age of 15 in School/College/University
Various Certs as per my profile
Exam Material Used:
CBT Nuggets (Went through 7 times at least)
CCCURE (Paid Sub)
FreePractice Tests (Paid Sub)
5 Day Class Room Based Training
Official CISSP Study Book (Latest Edition)
Eric Conrad 11th Hours
Dummies Guide to CISSP
WikiPedia/Youtube/Facebook Study Group / Forums
My advice to anyone taking the exam is to look at every aspect of Security!
As others have said this is definitely one exam you can't "Cram" for.
You need to know the topics inside out!

desi121 Member Posts: 39 ■■□□□□□□□□Hi Guys,
Just had an email from ISC2 it looks like I do not need to take any further actions until I can obtain the 2 years worth of work experience.
Once I have this I then complete the endorsement process. -
soccarplayer29 Member Posts: 230 ■■■□□□□□□□Desi, I believe you are correct. I am in the same boat having passed the CISSP exam prior to having the necessary experience. It is also my understanding that there is nothing I need to do right now (aside from paying the necessary ISC2 Annual Maintenance Fees and what I believe are lower or prorated CPE requirements).
Just keep gaining that experience and then have the application/endsorer ready so that you can apply.Certs: CISSP, CISA, PMP -

bigdogz Member Posts: 881 ■■■■■■■■□□I don't know your situation, but if you really wanted to pass this exam, you should do is earn the extra money and purchase the resources on your own.
Certifications are like respect. They are earned, not simply handed to you. -

tuabuikia Member Posts: 52 ■■□□□□□□□□Hi. I will be taking the exam next week. Did you get your result at the end of the exam or you had to wait? Some exam takers here reported that they had to wait for their results to be sent to them due to the new CBK / exam format. Is that true?

this is my first post in this forum. I am now highly motivated to start to prepare for CISSP exam. I have not given myself any deadline as of now as I want to read the material atleast once to know where I actually stand! How much does the latest version of the study guide cost in India? Any idea?
