NOC Engineer Interview Questions

I had a phone interview yesterday that I was able to pass and proceed on to a second in person interview. I imagine more in depth technical questions would be asked, and just wanted to get an idea on what to prepare for. Here is what they are requiring.
  • High school degree required, some college experience preferred
  • 1+ years of work experience as a NOC Engineer preferred
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration skills with understanding of basic network administration
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching protocols
  • Basic understanding of load balancing technologies
  • Strong ability to multi-task multiple competing priorities
  • Strong customer-focus attitude
Feed back is greatly appreciated

Typically basic subnetting questions , basic questions about routing protocols, network devices, which command to use to gaither certain network information, my tshoot mythelogy is what I wad quiz, had demonstrate on the white board. Actually did real good. Interview for NOC but was offered an engineer gig but decline due to pay. Had one interview where it was non technical they wanted to see if I was a good fit. So your interview could go either way.

Well they had me sit with the production manager first and they were surprisingly more focused on Linux questions, asking me things like:
-how would you search for a certain phrase in a file named me.txt
-how would you check the disk space so that it was human readable
-how do you check the current user logged in
-how do you change the ownership or the rights of a file or directory
-how would you show the date
-how do you find the ip address of the linux box through command line
-They were mostly just simple Linux questions.

Then they had me sit with the director who asked the standard personality interview questions. They offered 60k after I asked for 65k.
