I believe the acronym your seeking is: Information Security Officer.

Cyberscum, you'd be perfect as you have the CISSP.

Heck yea, CISSP is a dream maker cert! Can't wait to get mine so I can double my salary.

Unfortunately I just passed my Sec+ and will be a few months til I get my CISSP so will have to wait to apply to the ISO position...

Good luck. Well-rounded security/executive talent in my area is near zero. Couldn't find a skilled Analyst, Manager, or CISO to save a company. Lots of certs floating around there, but nobody who is actually any good at it.

Nope, I was an ISSO (Information Systems Security Specialist) in my last role that was doing all of the ISSM work.

An ISSO is like a nurses assistant. Does all of the work and takes home less pay.

    636: Saint Louis?

NetworkNewb: Unfortunately I don't see many security positions in the cities and I vaguely remember a guy here exporting to Colorado to get into security. Best of luck!

In what cities? There are a ton of security jobs last I checked.

'The cities" is known as the twin cities, at least around the midwest.

I see more than I did months ago but still less than systems and network positions. Most are higher level.

Allina is looking for a CISO, bet it's $300+ I know they pay their nurses and doctors pretty well.
