Greetings everyone,
This is an update off of my background check thread.
I received a job offer 2 weeks ago and have been stupid busy at my current job trying to get everything done before I leave. My last day is tomorrow and I start the new job on Monday.
I will be working for a Police Department here in Michigan doing application management. My job offer came in slightly better than what I expected to receive. Plus the benefits package is fantastic.
Interesting facts - I wasn't searching for this job, it found me. TekSystem's contacted me off of an old resume I had in their system. It can pay to work with a recruiter.
I would never go through that background check again unless I knew I had the job. It's a bit nerve wracking.

Congrats on the new gig! I definitely agree with you about working with a recruiter. I started a new gig in a couple of weeks and I landed it through a recruiter. Good guy and even offered me a $200 gift card if I stay at the new gig for at least 90 days.WGU BS - Network Operations and Security
