Storage +: September 26th

So I just scheduled the Storage + exam for Sept. 26th.
Just got done with Chapter 4 in Nigel's book but I'm also reading along side my ICDN2 studies, going for a double threat path. Daring probably but I feel up to the challenge.

Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect

On the last 3 chapter now, will just take more detailed notes and practice tests till exam day.
I'm finding so much of this content a refresher from the VCP5-DCV book. But a bit of it is new, and I like learning more about the topics. To my surprise there is quite a bit of networking involved too....
I can see this knowledge helping me with a few defined IT roles.
A month till exam day maybe too long. But I guess extra time for review is better than rushing it. Will just keep doing my ICDN2 study more and doing this more lightly.
Goal is for Storage + and CCNA : R&S by December 25th!

....Took me about 3 weeks to read it. Not that dry, just very factual. I thought it was interesting because it has network and VMware concepts that overlap on other study from this year.
....My problem was balancing ICDN2 and this book in time, there both interesting reads.
Tons of bloat reading in the book highlights are definitely needed.
Just finished the CBT Nuggets videos last night.
I saw Plusarsight had videos on it too that might check out, but September 26th might be too long.
Figured it would be a harder study but it's really not, CCENT and VCP5-DCV have a ton of overlap in stuff I already know...
So now I can take all my exams at this center on weekends moving forward...
Those shady people at Pearson I swear...
On a flip side I just finished the 1st two sections of ICDN2 book from Odom's book.
Two weeks till Storage + and 7 weeks till ICDN2!!
Good luck! I passed Storage+ just using Nigel's book.

Finished his book, now doing his Pluralsight videos and I just did Jeremey's CBT Nuggets videos. Most know Jeremy who does CCNA videos with Keith Baker.
60% through the Pluralsight videos.
Already had a CBT Nuggets. vExpert gave me Pluralsight for a year recently as of last week.
But yes I have a ton of overlap from VCP5-DCV. In fact VCP5-DCV holds more value over Storage+ since it covers mostly everything but it renews all my CompTIA certs until I do CASP in 2017 for my security push.
I hate answering the survey questions at the end. It adds to the suspense, but I passed.

CompTIA exams are fab for learning/polishing those fundamentals. It is unfortunate there's not that much material on Storage certs.
Just learnt of the Storage+ retiring in Jan 2016. SNIA will be launching a new exam and credential in it's place.
"SNIA to offer new storage certification examination and credential early next year."
