Support Services - Amazon Web Services

I work for a an AWS Consulting partner and we are trying to build a support team. I have come across a few issues. I am trying to understand the list of actions that are considered under support such as

1. Start / Stop Servers.
2. Taking EBS Snapshots

Is there an exhaustive list for the physical world that I can then take and translate to AWS ?

Does patching come under support !

Anyone with such experience ?

Cheers

Hmm it really depends, here's what I personally consider a support task:

    1. Stop/Restart Services

    2. Backup/restore

    3. Rebuild in case of failure (Disaster Recovery)

    4. User management

    5. Access, performance, networking, and other troubleshooting *support* tasks.

Basically anything that's not design and implementation, but YMMV.
