Is it time Amazon had its own forum?

With Amazon coming out with more and more certs, it has become a mission to find AWS specific threads whether it's related to certifications or general discussion.

Amazon Web Services is the present and the future.

Please create subforum for AWS!

+1 on the Cloud certifications forum. ISC2 has its own certifications for cloud now, we will be seeing a lot more of this in the next few years.

Fourthed! It would be nice to have all the cloud stuff under one section. One possible oddity would be the VMWare Cloud cert/products.

So who do we contact next to implement this? Or do we just keep bumping this thread until an admin/mod sees it?

I would probably just send a private message to one of the many admins on this site... Can view them all under the "Community" tab. Or even at the bottom of the site there is an even "Contact Us" link....They make it easy to find them ;)

I'm sure it's something Webmaster will take into consideration depending on demand. Thanks for the feedback!

Didn't realize AWS had a free tier for learning it, been playing around with it a bit and seems solid. Anyone got any good resources for the exams or anything?

UDEMY.COM has great stuff. Try "acloudguru" as his classes are recommended by many.

NP, they had a sale going on last week for $10 USD. Hope you did not already pay full price! Anyway good luck with the material. Its well organized and very helpful.

Udemy almost weekly has sales on their courses, which they send out if they have your e-mail address. As long as the course isn't BRAND new, usually costs $10-15 for anyone who allows Udemy to send them e-mails.

Additionally, Linux Academy seems pretty good for the AWS courses, altho of course, their material is a lot more Linux centric.

I'm studying for the same test. Currently using CBT Nuggets and practical experience through AWS. About 60% through, but I dislike Jeremy Ciora's teaching style.

Theres also cloud academy for AWS stuff.
Also youtube has some amazing AWS stuff, especially from Amazon Key Note speaches where they talk about AWS.
I also want to get into AWS

A coworker recently passed the AWS Solution Architect - Associate exam and, based on our certification numbers, more than 7000 people obtained the cert in the last year. That more than doubles the number of AWS certified associates in a year.

I think it's time Cloud had its own forum.

    Agreed. It's time!
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

+1 on the Cloud Forum; I'm sure that multiple vendors will come out with new certifications as this field continues to grow.

I'll add a +1 to this! Considering tackling the sysops associate level at some stage.

    They probably do.
No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.
